Ms. Yolanda Cordova

Office Manager

Ms. Yolanda Cordova has been a dedicated member of the Community School for Creative Education since 2012, consistently bringing warmth, professionalism, and a welcoming presence to the school community. As Office Manager, she serves as a key point of contact for families and a trusted resource for matters related to enrollment, communication, and school operations.


Her deep commitment to CSCE, along with her strong organizational and administrative expertise, make her an invaluable member of the school’s leadership and administrative team. Ms. Cordova plays a vital role in fostering a supportive and efficient environment for students, families, and staff.

MS. JESSICA BOOKER

Expanded Learning Opportunities Program Coordinator

Ms. Jessica is proud to be from Oakland, California. She has taught 5th grade as well as 6th–8th grade history at Community School for Creative Education. She holds a degree in Visual Communications from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in San Francisco.

Now in her second year as Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) Coordinator, Ms. Jessica brings creativity, organization, and enthusiasm to the role. Her interests include fashion, art, sports, and travel, which often inspire her work with students and programs. She looks forward to another successful year at CSCE.

MS. AMY GAERLAN

Multilingual Learners Intervention Specialist/Tier 2

Ms. Amy brings a calm, patient presence that supports the diverse needs of our students. She studied literacy and speech pathology at the State of Missouri University and volunteered in classrooms for several years before joining our staff.  She's continued her education studying Waldorf education and pedagogy as well as becoming certified to teach English as a second language.


Ms. Amy is dedicated to strengthening students’ reading skills while also fostering a genuine love of reading beyond the classroom. She maintains a mini library in her classroom to ensure students have easy access to books that match their interests and reading levels.


In addition, Ms. Amy serves as our ELPAC Local Educational Agency (LEA) Coordinator, working collaboratively with staff to ensure appropriate instructional support for English Learners. She also participates on various school committees, contributing to initiatives that promote strong academic outcomes for all students.
