Classroom Representatives

Each classroom teacher will invite two parent volunteers to serve as Classroom Representatives. These representatives play a vital role in fostering communication and community engagement within our school.

Responsibilities

Classroom Representatives will:

Meet regularly with their classroom teacher to stay informed about classroom activities and needs
Serve as a communication liaison between the teacher and other classroom parents
Share classroom updates and activities with the broader school community during Parents Families in Action (PFA) meetings

This program strengthens the partnership between families and educators, ensuring that all parents remain connected and informed about their child's classroom experience.

The Family Liaison oversees and supports the Family Resource Center, a cornerstone of our commitment to building a comprehensive community school.

Family Resource Center Mission

The Family Resource Center serves as the foundation for transforming Community School for Creative Education into a full-service community school that seamlessly integrates Waldorf-inspired pedagogy with community-centered values.

Programs and Services

The Family Resource Center offers:

Family Education Workshops – Training sessions on Waldorf education principles and practices
School Site Visits – Guided visits to public and private Waldorf and Waldorf-inspired schools
Community Capacity Building – Programs designed to strengthen community service and engagement

Support Structure

The Family Liaison works in partnership with a Family Center Volunteer, a dedicated school parent and OCO leader, to ensure effective program delivery and family support.
