Ms. Desiree Wesley is an Instructional Aid at Community School for Creative Education, where she supports individual students in the classroom, assists with lesson preparation, and helps manage classroom behavior. Ms. Katherine Lopez grew up in El Salvador and has been living in California since 2019. She has been with Community School for Creative Education for three years, rising through the ranks to her current role as TK Instructional Assistant. She also supports Tier II staff with assessments and teaching phonics.
Ms. Katherine brings a cheerful, helpful presence to the school community. She loves trying all kinds of food (though she may be protective of her Chinese takeout!) and enjoys watching movies, especially anything starring Keanu Reeves. Known for her great sense of humor, she is always ready to lend a hand and bring a smile to those around her.

Ms. Kamiya Mcelvaine is an Instructional Aide at Community School for Creative Education, dedicated to supporting students’ academic and personal growth. She assists in developing and implementing lesson plans, helps students improve reading and comprehension skills, supports classroom behavior, and provides individualized guidance to ensure each student can succeed.

Ms. Jennifer Lee was born and raised in Oakland, California, and graduated from Skyline High School. She first joined Community School for Creative Education in 2012 as a parent volunteer and became an Instructional Assistant in the TK classroom the following school year. She is now a Teacher’s Assistant in the 4th grade, where she supports students’ learning and growth.
Ms. Lee brings warmth, positivity, and creativity to the classroom. She shares her love of cooking with the students, often involving them in preparing treats, and fosters a nurturing and engaging environment where children thrive.

Ms. Hnin Wai supports students both in the classroom and in the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) at Community School for Creative Education. She brings dedication, patience, and a supportive presence to help students succeed academically and socially.

Ms. Hennessy Jimenez is a recent high school graduate from Oakland, California, and is currently studying acupuncture therapy with the goal of one day running her own practice. She has a passion for cooking, travel, and equine care, having spent her summers at her grandfather’s ranch learning to ride horses and care for various animals.
At Community School for Creative Education, Ms. Hennessy is dedicated to providing nutritious breakfasts and lunches, supporting students’ growth and helping them reach their full potential.
