CSCE Wins Grant from New York City’s Wallace Foundation! (8/2019)

CSCE invited to join Educate78-funded year-long Leader of Color Community of Practice


We are honored that CSCE has been invited to join the Eduate78-funded 2019-2020  Leader of Color Community of Practice.This invitation marks the third year of an intensive Educate78-funded cross-Oakland-school learning partnership to advance equity.    This year's partnership builds upon last year's CSCE membership in the Educate78-funded 2018-2019 Community of Practice and the 2017-2018 Ready To Grow Partnership. We thank our funder, coaches and colleagues in the shared powerful commitment to learn to better serve our students! CSCE Executive Director and Princpal Invited to speak in Germany, honoring Waldorf’s 100th birthday, on CSCE and the exciting future of Waldorf Education


CSCE ED and Founder Dr. Ida Oberman and CSCE award-winning Princpal Monique Brinson have been invited to speak in three German cities to honor ethe first 100 years of Waldorf Educaiton and look forward to the next centennial.  The focus of their invited remarks is CSCE as groundbraekign new model of equity-focused  intercultural urban public Waldorf school.  (8/2019)

CSCE Wins High Growth Award!


CSCE is recognized for achieving high growth in the 17-18 school year in English Language Arts. This is a great accomplishment for CSCE  staff and students! These awards will be publicly announced on in April 2019  via the Ed Equity Navigator, a new site that repackages and presents publicly available California Dashboard data for schools and districts to bring attention to equity. On the Ed Equity Navigator, all high growth schools, including CSCE's, will be recognized with a high growth badge.  For more invormation,  visit  Ed Equity Navigator.(4/2019)

Students will be considered for admission without regard to ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability, or achievement level.
